One Week Keto Challenge?

Like everyone else stuck at home for quarantine and trying to loose weight i have also joined in on the trend for trying the fad diets.

The one i choose to experiemnt with first if the:

The first day was EASY

Consuming so much fats and proteins is against everyhthing we’ve all been taught till now about consuming food in the right propostions. Once you get used to it, it gets easier.

The week progressed and the only thing i was craving was a very good toast. I was surprisingly not craving any rice at all!

(given I love rice)

The real challenge in the keto-diet is coming up with more recipes with the limited ingredient list, creating new recipes and way to spice up your diet especially when you’re on a somewhat tight budget.

This diet is not for people on a tight budget (DISCLAIMER)

Definitely craved some of those rich light cakes sitting at the home counter but i controlled and made it to the end of the first week

I was surprised to find that the first week I had already lost more than 2 kgs.

Like I’ve read and come to realize that most of the weight I lost is most probably water weight so its time to continue this and see how much I can achieve..

The next diet I’ll be trying will definitely be intermittent fasting because it sounds less restrictive and does not have any side effects like the ones I’ve read about like that with veganism or keto-diet even. So looking forward to that in the future.

Frankly, I’ve been feeling much more energetic and less lethargic during the days and ready to tackle the days tasks ever since I’ve started on the keto-diet.

I’m NO professional. This is just my take on it and please read up and check with your nutritionist before if you too are thinking of starting on the keto-diet.

feel free to leave in your take on keto or any suggestions

yours truly,

Mehtab
